155976 | ![]() | A separate cycle path is needed the length of South Eden Park Road. At the moment there is only a very narrow footpath on one side of the road. With the new housing development on the old Glaxo site there will be an big increase in the number of children trying to get to the Langley Park primary and secondary schools. Why not encourage them to cycle and walk with a cycle path and improved pavement. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
154690 | ![]() | Drivers of motor vehicles behave like it's a two lane road before it actually is, which means they often pinch cyclists between the traffic and kerb for no reason. A cycle lane painted on the road will make them give more space. When it does become two lanes, just before the lights, there is enough room for two lanes and a cycle lane. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
152746 | ![]() | Cars often pull out of this exit without properly looking, resulting in danger for cyclists and others. Something to fix this would be good. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
152743 | ![]() | This road is the entrance for the Bethlem Royal hospital. Cycling in this area is unpleasant. Especially Monks Orchard Road. There is space here to install a separate cycle lane. Some of the existing pavement could be used for a two way cycle lane. The road could also be reduced to 20mph. Residents appear to support this idea from informal conversations. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
152597 | ![]() | On E-Scooters: The Government will be debating E-Scooters soon, and my MP Sarah Jones has told me she will be forwarding this solution. Greenpeace agree with this idea. For Towns 'streets and roads', make one Pavement for Pedestrians, (Painted Green), and the opposite Pavement would be for Bicycles and little Electric Scooters, (Paint Red or Blue). Parents won't get there car out if they know there child can ride to School safely’,( and Adults to work ), cutting Pollution and Congestion. ‘No injuries’, so no Ambulances or Hospitals needed and no problem parking around Schools. This Solution does not apply to High Streets and yes more Zebra Crossings will be needed to be installed on busier Roads, making those Roads, ‘Semi Pedestrianized’. Some Pavements will have to be Green and Blue, but most are wide enough, with Pedestrians able to cross the Road to a complete Green Pavement via the new Zebra Crossings. Pedestrians safety, E-Scooter Safety ‘must’ come first, ahead of the ‘Car’. The Government are about to allow E-Scooters on to our Roads, so this needs to be implemented as soon as possible, because children will be injured and killed if we don’t do this straight away. The Government will be debating E-Scooters soon, and my MP Sarah Jones has told me she will be forwarding this solution. I have had a great agreeable response; please ask your friends and public for their opinion. | Track: Problem track |

152118 | ![]() | Traffic island but no dropped kerb on either side so inaccessible for Many | Track: Problem track |
152011 | ![]() | Since the local market stopped, this part of Maple Road has become a rat-run and yet, with a school one side and a church and shops the other side, it has huge potential as a community hub - less traffic, more walking and cycling | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
150322 | ![]() | The A21 from here right up to Locksbottom is very poor for cyclists. All the major major traffic light junctions feature a 'safe' area but are very difficult to reach when the traffic is even a little bit heavy - just when you need them the most. And there's only one decent cycle path on Bromley Common, which ends just as the 30mph zone finishes. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
150180 | ![]() | Large numbers of children cross at this location | Track: Problem track |
150179 | ![]() | Encourage cycling walking scooters for darrick wood infant and junior school. This road is dangerous and parking should be banned outside school for safety | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
150039 | ![]() | Narrow the entrance to Bird in the Hand Lane. It's has a very wide entrance with no footway along the eastern side by Bickley Road so it is difficult to see down the road before crossing. It's width also makes it a challenge to cross with small children without finding cars wanting to turn in whilst only half way across. | Track: Problem track |
149418 | ![]() | Crossing in has no dedicated pedestrian crossing - it Is a death trap waiting to happen. To cross you need to run and hope - how on earth this is not better manged outside a blind corner and surgery. | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
149417 | ![]() | Pavement is very narrow, almost impossible for two people to pass, on a very busy road | Track: Problem track |
149082 | ![]() | Slow traffic speed from this point on towards George Lane. There are three schools from here to there | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
148142 | ![]() | Double yellow lines to stop parking in the cycle lane. Every house on this road has a drive so on street parking isn't needed | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |

144867 | ![]() | Narrow pavement which becomes congested at school opening and closing times. Need a wider space here | Track: Problem track |
144501 | ![]() | Very busy and difficult with cars pulling in front to turn down Westmoreland rd. Also very smelly with exhaust fumes. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
144500 | ![]() | Cyclists squeezed by cars | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
144004 | ![]() | Crofton Road needs segregated cycle lanes and speed cameras for vehicles. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
143122 | ![]() | Speeding vehicles along Godwin and Siward Road making it unsafe to walk in the road, to avoid people walking on the pavement. | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
143090 | ![]() | Too narrow for people to pass | Track: Problem track |
143049 | ![]() | Fast cars use Ravensmead road as a cut through going very fast which is dangerous. The paths are too narrow on Ravensmead road as well. | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
143048 | ![]() | Too narrow for people to pass | Track: Problem track |
143046 | ![]() | Reduce traffic and get people on bikes | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
143045 | ![]() | Too narrow | Track: Problem track |
142941 | ![]() | There is no pavement for pedestrians | Track: Problem track |
142858 | ![]() | Pedestrian priority crossing required here. 1000s of schoolchildren need to cross this fast road safely to access Langley Park Schools | Track: Problem track |
142857 | ![]() | Dangerous road for cyclists as drivers speed over limit and ignore VAS. Residents' vehicles cannot safely exit side roads. Speed limit reduction needed. | Track: Problem track |
142718 | ![]() | Numbers have more than doubled of cyclists using this road. It’s narrow so a cycle path would be difficult. But reduced speed limits and warning signs would make the road safer | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
142717 | ![]() | Numbers have more than doubled of cyclists using this road. It’s narrow so a cycle path would be difficult. But reduced speed limits and warning signs would make the road safer | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
142634 | ![]() | Speeding traffic is very bad, we fear our kids are not safe on their way to their school. Please do something, please | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
142621 | ![]() | Speeding vehicles along Godwin and Siward Roads making it unsafe to walk in the road, to avoid people walking on the pavement. | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
142615 | ![]() | The combination of narrow road and narrow pavement makes the stretch under the railway bridge dangerous for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers alike. The pavement needs improving and if it’s not possible to widen the road then traffic calming measures need to be put in place. Additionally, despite the fact the pavement reduces to just one side of the road, there is no safe crossing point. This needs to be added. | Track: Problem track |
142614 | ![]() | Pavement is too narrow. Cars / lorries often mount pavement and too tight to social distance | Track: Problem track |
142613 | ![]() | Widen pavement and add crossing | Track: Problem track |
142608 | ![]() | Speed humps or some sort of speeding deterrent needed for Siward /Godwin Road. It is a cut through road and desperately needs more than the current roundabout to slow the speeding traffic which is constant and very dangerous to pedestrians and other road users. | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
142607 | ![]() | There are huge issues with speeding down our road. Speed cameras could help cut this down or speed bumps. | Track: Problem track |
142606 | ![]() | Speeding vehicles on this quiet road is horrendous. It needs speed bumps and a 20mph limit. Also those school flashing lights as many children and parents walk along it everyday in term time. | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
142605 | ![]() | Lots of crashes and near accidents and aggressive motor behaviour as the road is too narrow and the road is used as a cut through! Our car has been smashed twice and my child nearly run over and me nearly run over! | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
142603 | ![]() | Far too much speeding along here. And someone crashed into a front garden on this road recently. Parents walk kids home via this road and it doesn’t feel safe. Speed bumps or clearer speed limit signs needed. | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
142596 | ![]() | The pavements are far too narrow down Godwin Road | Track: Problem track |
142592 | ![]() | Path narrow and raised with tree roots - a tripping hazard | Track: Problem track |
142591 | ![]() | Path too narrow | Track: Problem track |
142586 | ![]() | This is a wide part of the road but the entry from the main road A234 is no entry, one way. But the one way is just to stop entry from the main road to the train station car park some 30 meters long. If this was two way for cyclists only it would allow cyclists going to Elmer's End to use Clock House Road and stay away from the round about at Beckenham and also the busy road from Beckenham to Elmer's End. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
142585 | ![]() | Widen the footpath | Track: Problem track |
142582 | ![]() | Getting out of Clock House Road on a cycle on to the roundabout to head south is dangerous with constant flow of traffic coming from the right. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
142535 | ![]() | Current shared pavement is too narrow for pedestrians, let alone cyclists as well. There is a lot of road/verge space for a proper segregated cycleway to connect into existing provision closer to Orpington | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
142534 | ![]() | There would be space for a proper segregated cycle way between Chislehurst and Sidcup along Perry Street. Currently many inexperienced cyclists only feel confident on the pavement here. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
142517 | ![]() | We need a pedestrian crossing for the safety of all of the children (and adults) on their way to school/work. Cars speed around the bend and the area is in a real need of a curved traffic mirror to be able to see! | Track: Problem track |
142490 | ![]() | Busy area for children crossing road to school with no nearby crossings. Add a crossing or lollipop person. | Track: Problem track |
142477 | ![]() | Crossing the road from Glassmill Ln/Queens Mead Rd to the recreation ground/park is poorly signposted for walkers/children/dog walkers/cyclists. | Track: Problem track |

142465 | ![]() | Cycle racks for staff and children's bikes at school would be useful as access into school to lock up may be limited due to Covid-19 restrictions. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
142464 | ![]() | A protected or marked cycleway along this road would provide a useful link across Bromley for school staff, parents and children for the local schools. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
142463 | ![]() | Some form of formal crossing is needed here for children going to Harris Primary School from the Queens Mead side of the railway. | Track: Problem track |
142458 | ![]() | We need wider paths outside the school for the volume of children and a reduction in traffic speed | Track: Problem track |
142454 | ![]() | Desperate need of a crossing at Valley school. Cars rarely stop for pedestrians and it is HUGELY dangerous for small children and their parents/grandparents going to school. It MUST be a priority. | Track: Problem track |
142447 | ![]() | We need a pedestrian crossing for the safety of all of the children (and adults) on their way to school/work. Cars speed around the bend and the area is in a real need of a curved traffic mirror to be able to see! | Track: Problem track |
142400 | ![]() | Make this section open to cyclists so that it's legal to use the toucan crossing on the A21 to then get up to Widmore Road. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
142395 | ![]() | Pavement needs widening to give more space for social distancing when waiting to cross and slow traffic turinng into Farnaby Rd by making the mouth of it narrower. Extra pavement space would also give a good location for a controlled (button) crossing for the school. Ideally a 20mph school zone too to make it safer for families crossing Beckenham Lane or Farnaby Road near the school. There is currently no safe or efficient way to cross to get to Valley school (or the park, shops or station) near the school and families end up bunched up on narrow pavements either side or on tiny traffic island in the middle unable to social distance or cross safely, while cars speed in one lane and idle their engines in congestion in the other. | Track: Problem track |
142370 | ![]() | Zebra crossings needed around this roundabout. | Track: Problem track |
142233 | ![]() | Crystal Palace Park Road needs segregated cycle lanes so does Anerley road on the other side of the park. Make both roads one way eg down Anerley and up Crystal Palace Park to give the space for cycle lanes in both directions and wider paths | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
142232 | ![]() | Closing Maple Road at one end would reduce traffic making it safer for pedestrians and cyclists | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
142231 | ![]() | If you installed a footpath here, people could avoid walking on the narrrow pavement on Anerley Road at the bus stop opposite Thicket Road | Track: Problem track |
141774 | ![]() | The traffic speeds on Siward and Godwin Roads are ridiculous - something to slow cars down to make it safe to cycle, and walk on these streets | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
141772 | ![]() | Footbridge is really narrow and not enough room to stay physically distant. Maybe close a lane on the bridge (traffic light?) and allow pedestrians an additional pavement - might slow the speeding cars down too! | Track: Problem track |
141702 | ![]() | Busy with cars and parking in both directions with narrow pavements on access to primary school | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
141698 | ![]() | Old Hill has very narrow (or non-existent) pavements despite being key walking route to schools, station and other amenities. Reducing on street parking or introducing a one-way system would make a big difference. | Track: Problem track |
141693 | ![]() | The High Street is crying out for better cycle infrastructure and wider pavements. Currently it is unpleasant and dangerous for pedestrians, cyclists and cars with unnecessary amount of parking in front of shops that pull out into road. Given extensive car parking provision nearby it would surely benefit local businesses and all road users if balance could be readjusted. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
141682 | ![]() | Very dangerous junction with with cyclists having very few alternative routes in area (and on existing cycleways). High traffic speeds mean pedestrians or dismounted cyclists also at risk | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
141679 | ![]() | Existing cycle lanes could easily be upgraded to improve segregation from busy traffic as road has plenty of spare width and key route close to several schools. Current lanes stop/start and vanish entirely at junctions. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
141286 | ![]() | This road feels dangerous as a cyclist. bike lanes stop and start and cars aways cut cyclists up. it needs to be safer, continuous and better marked | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
141285 | ![]() | It is very dangerous for cyclists. The cycle part is the pavement that isn't clearly marked, it's not suitable and difficult to use as a cyclist. Being the major route towards London it should be a priority. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |

140485 | ![]() | Modal filter (walking/bicycles only) to quieten streets by minimising through traffic | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
140484 | ![]() | Modal filter (walking/bicycles only) to quieten streets by minimising through traffic | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
139118 | ![]() | Protected cycle lanes on both sides on approach to school with parking restrictions as appropriate | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
138879 | ![]() | No cycle lanes in Penge at all. This needs to change | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
138877 | ![]() | Why can't this junction be made more pedestrian friendly? You have to cross the road in stages, often made harder by all the vehicles driving through red traffic lights. Regularly. | Track: Problem track |
138873 | ![]() | Why is this stretch of road 40mph? After the Locksbottom Junction makes sense but not this small stretch. It just encourages higher speeds. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
138871 | ![]() | Maybe the new cycle path could come from somewhere and then go somewhere . It's about 2m long at the moment! | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
138714 | ![]() | Connect the underpass cycle route to “The Drive” to provide a traffic free route to Petts Wood eben combined with bridle paths in the woods at the other end of the Drive | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
138286 | ![]() | Barriers at each end of this path limit use of what would otherwise be an easy quiet north south route as alternative to busy Cray Avenue. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
137361 | ![]() | Only 70cm wide footpath | Track: Problem track |
137137 | ![]() | Walking and cycling cannot peacefully co-exist on a footpath unless the footpath, like the one behind Scott’s Park school, is at least doubled in size and the areas for walking or cycling are delineated clearly and the proper use is strictly enforced by means of large fines. Otherwise accidents will be inevitable and no one will accept responsibility. | Track: Problem track |
136996 | ![]() | Modal Filter required to prevent motor vehicles using this road as a rat-run | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
136682 | ![]() | There is a school gate around a blind bend in Bromley Rd, cars speed through this stretch of the road at dangerous speeds. There will be casualties in front of Bishop Challoner School when more children leave from the gate. The council needs to respond to this. | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
136678 | ![]() | Making a cycle path from Bromley High Street down Glassmill Lane, through Station Approach and onto Beckenham Lane/Bromley Road into Beckenham. It would promote active travel between Bromley Town and Beckenham and help reduce traffic in an extremely congested area. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
136676 | ![]() | This road has Buller's Wood school and soon will have Buller's Boys - it also provides a link between Chislehurst station and Bromley Town, a cycle path would promote active travel between Bromley and Chislehurst, cutting down on traffic while potentially increasing footfall to high streets | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
136671 | ![]() | Footpath is too narrow for social distancing, particularly with the hundreds of students who leave Bullers Wood in term time. | Track: Problem track |
136626 | ![]() | Dedicated cycleway from the cyclepath at sevenoaks way to petts wood would make cycling much safer as poverest road to petts wood is a fast busy road with cars parked intermittently and queuing cars near junctions, it would also allow an alternative to car to access chislehurst woods from st Mary Cray. | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
136522 | ![]() | This road is too narrow for the amount of through motor traffic. Make this a no-through road for motor traffic. | Temporary closure: Problem closure |
136162 | ![]() | Undergrowth encroaching on the road forces cyclists out into traffic on a busy road | Cycleway: Problem cycleways |
135643 | ![]() | Timings of this crossing needs changing - it's not long enough, it should change more rapidly for people queueing. This is a very busy, polluted road and I don't want to stand here a moment more than necessary with my kids breathing in the emissions. | Track: Problem track |
